Qualification
- 5+ years of leadership experience in software engineering, with a track record leading teams focused on integrations, APIs, or developer experience.
- Strong product sense with experience defining roadmaps and delivering partner-centric features that drive adoption and revenue.
- Deep hands-on experience designing and shipping APIs (REST and GraphQL) and developer-facing tooling or portals.
- Proven ability to collaborate with external partners, customers, and development communities to enable integrations and ecosystem growth.
- Experience with headless architectures, API-first design, and building programmatic access patterns; comfortable with AI-enabled workflows.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence executives and stakeholders.
- Experience shipping features at scale with focus on reliability, security, and performance within security-conscious environments.
- Comfortable working in a remote setting (Canada) and coordinating across time zones.
Responsibility
- Lead and mentor the Ecosystems engineering team focused on integrations, APIs, and developer experience, promoting high-quality delivery and career growth.
- Define and drive the team’s product roadmap in partnership with Product, Design, and external partners, balancing rapid partner integrations with long-term platform investments.
- Own end-to-end delivery from concept to production, including scoping, prioritization, milestones, risk management, and measurement of success.
- Shape and promote scalable patterns for integrations, API design (REST/GraphQL), headless architectures, and AI-driven workflows to enable partners to build with 1Password.
- Collaborate with external developers, customers, and technology partners to enable new integrations, drive adoption, and unlock revenue opportunities.
- Ensure reliability, security, and performance of ecosystem APIs and integrations, aligning with 1Password’s security standards.
- Build and maintain developer tooling, documentation, samples, SDKs, and self-service capabilities to accelerate partner integrations.
- Foster a collaborative, cross-functional culture, communicate roadmaps and outcomes clearly to stakeholders, and advocate for customer outcomes.
