Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Execution & System Delivery
- Install, configure, and commission electronic security systems to the highest standard
- Perform advanced fault-finding and resolve issues at root cause level
- Ensure all systems are fully operational, tested, and signed off before leaving site
- Work across multiple platforms and technologies, not limited to specific brands
2. Site Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage technicians on-site to ensure productivity and quality
- Allocate tasks effectively and control workflow on projects
- Train and guide junior staff to improve overall team capability
- Enforce discipline, structure, and high standards on-site
3. Planning, Scheduling & Efficiency
- Plan work activities, materials, and sequencing in advance
- Ensure correct resources and equipment are available before work begins
- Minimise downtime, delays, and inefficiencies on-site
- Identify and eliminate wastage in labour, materials, and time
4. Project Ownership & Accountability
- Take full ownership of project outcomes — from start to final handover
- Ensure no incomplete work, outstanding snags, or unresolved issues remain
- Maintain clear communication with management on progress and risks
- Deliver projects that meet both technical and commercial expectations
5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Manage expectations and communicate progress clearly
- Represent the company with confidence and professionalism on-site
- Build trust with clients through reliability and delivery
6. Business Awareness & Continuous Improvement
- Understand the impact of time, materials, and inefficiencies on project profitability
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
- Support business development through technical input where required
Technical Exposure (Required/Expected)
Candidates should have strong working experience across multiple systems, including:
- Access Control: Impro, Softcon, CCure, Gallagher, etc.
- CCTV: IP & Analogue (Hikvision, Dahua, Milestone, Bosch, Exacq, etc.)
- Fire Detection: Ziton, Technoswitch, Aritech, Notifier (addressable & conventional)
- Intrusion Systems: DSC and similar
- Intercom & PA Systems
- Automation: Booms, turnstiles, gate motors, automated doors
- Basic Networking & Infrastructure: IP addressing, fibre, switching, system integration
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / N3 (Required)
- Technical or Business-related qualification (Advantageous)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the electronic security industry
- Proven experience supervising teams and managing site productivity
- Valid Driver’s License
- PSIRA Certification (Non-Negotiable)
- Clear Criminal Record (Non-Negotiable)
- SAQCC Certification (Advantageous)

Salary: Market Related
