Grindr is seeking a Senior Staff ML Engineer for a hybrid role based in Palo Alto or San Francisco. The position focuses on leveraging machine learning to enhance user connections within the LGBTQ+ community. The role involves architecting recommendation systems, utilizing large language models (LLMs), and providing technical leadership across teams to drive innovative solutions.
Qualification
- 10+ years of experience building ML systems with a focus on 0-to-1 system development and platform-scale architecture.
- Proven ability to deliver at scale, with fluency in Python and popular ML frameworks.
- Experience using data and deployment technologies such as Snowflake, Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Spark, and PySpark.
- Experience building machine/deep learning models with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Experience with public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Databricks.
Responsibility
- Architect and oversee large-scale recommendation systems to serve millions of users.
- Leverage the latest LLMs to process vast conversation data and enhance user connections.
- Prototype, iterate, and ship production-ready ML solutions that solve real problems for users.
- Provide technical leadership across teams, collaborating with engineering, data science, and product teams.
- Evaluate, influence, and integrate emerging AI tools and techniques at an organizational level.
