Illumio is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer - Architecture to lead security initiatives and certification programs within their cybersecurity team. The role emphasizes hands-on development, technical leadership, and collaboration across various teams to enhance the company's breach containment platform.
Qualification
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Extensive experience in leading security initiatives and driving certification programs, particularly with Federal programs.
- Experience with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS).
- Strong understanding of PKI, Security, and certification processes.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to teams.
Responsibility
- Own the requirements for certifications and work with external agencies on requirement clarifications.
- Translate certification requirements into Epics and stories for the team to execute.
- Lead certification programs and interface with DevOps, Product Managers, Security team, certification agencies, and auditors.
- Document and introduce processes to implement necessary controls for certification.
- Lead multiple initiatives, develop proofs of concept (PoCs), and create execution plans considering cross-functional dependencies.
- Participate in development tasks and build features hands-on.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with peers to drive programs and overcome technical challenges.
