The Robotics Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of various subsystems, conducting tests, and analyzing results to improve product performance. The role requires collaboration with design engineers and a strong understanding of reliability engineering principles.
Qualification
- Technical degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 2-5 years of work experience in reliability engineering
- Track record of defining reliability targets and test plans for consumer electronic products
- Experience driving the design of test setups for reliability testing
- Statistical experience such as Weibull++ or familiarity with different accelerated test models
- Solid understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Comfort with fast-paced startup atmosphere
- High level of maturity, ownership, and pride in work
Responsibility
- Drive all reliability requirements across different sub-systems
- Work with design engineers to understand the physics of failure and apply them to designing accelerated test methods
- Oversee the design and build of test setups for different loading scenarios
- Perform root cause failure analysis at different stages of testing
- Prepare concise and detailed test plans, driving test execution and analyzing test reports
- Create and manage fleet analytics pipelines to identify and eliminate field failures
- Lead design initiatives requiring detailed reliability testing and analysis
- Strengthen DFR practices across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering functions
