

Motor Controls Engineer

ALSO is an electric mobility company focused on creating innovative small EVs. They are seeking a Motor Controls Engineer to develop advanced motor control algorithms and collaborate with various engineering teams to enhance vehicle performance.
Qualification
- MS or PhD degree in Controls, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a focus on motor controls and drives.
- Strong background in controls of PMSM and inverters; practical experience with motor control algorithms like FOC and DTC, PWM strategies.
- Hands-on experience testing motor drive systems; understanding of equipment like dynamometers, power supplies, and power meters.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, including model-based design, Stateflow, and developing automation scripts.
- Familiarity with embedded controllers and programming languages such as C and Python.
- Familiar with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN) and tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANape.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration workflows.
Responsibility
- Develop advanced motor control algorithms and contribute to control development needs.
- Develop and maintain simulation models for control validations and studies.
- Test and troubleshoot in the lab and on vehicles.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and system engineers to contribute to requirements, development, and validation.
- Identify, report, and track software bugs; analyze logs to troubleshoot issues.
