ALSO is an electric mobility company focused on creating innovative small electric vehicles. They are seeking a Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability of their vehicles throughout the development cycle, establishing metrics, developing testing procedures, and guiding engineering teams on reliability issues.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Five or more years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role.
- Technical knowledge of PCBA reliability, energy storage systems, drive units, and chassis components.
- Working knowledge of Python programming language.
- Experience with statistical software for reliability such as JMP, ReliaSoft, or MATLAB.
- Knowledge of failure analysis techniques such as SEM, CT, X-Ray, EDS, TDR.
- Experience with instrumentation for data collection and testing such as thermocouples and accelerometers.
- Ability to use FEA software like Ansys Sherlock for product life prediction.
Responsibility
- Establish reliability targets and metrics for new product development including actuators, batteries, drive units, PCBAs, chassis, and low voltage electronic systems.
- Develop new reliability test procedures and specifications such as highly accelerated life testing and environmental testing.
- Apply acceleration models for reliability tests to predict product lifetime under stress conditions.
- Prepare detailed test plans and analyze test reports, providing updates on testing campaigns.
- Guide engineering teams on failure modes and design guidelines, providing risk analysis for design decisions.
- Monitor field performance and identify trends in failures.
- Lead and facilitate FMEAs with cross-functional teams and develop design verification plans.
