- Specify water treatment process equipment and components including pressure vessels, piping, valves, pumps, instruments & controls, etc.
- Review and ensure compliance with technical specifications required for projects.
- Work with the design team to create all designs and drawings needed for projects.
- Define scope of supply for suppliers, and write procurement specifications and requests for quotation.
- Review and approve equipment design. Inspection of equipment.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related field, and 5 years of progressively responsible post-bachelor’s degree experience in a related engineering occupation. Alternatively, Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related field, and 3 years of post-master's degree experience in a related engineering occupation required.
The position also requires: 3 years experience with process equipment utilizing pumps, valves, instrumentation and controls, and the manufacturing processes utilized for the same; 3 years experience in design of piping systems, pressure vessels, and steel structures; 3 years experience in specifying size, study control valves, piping, and pumps; 3 years experience in Google apps suite (Gmail, Docs, and Sheets); and 3 years experience in reviewing 3-D models using 3-D design software.
Telecommuting is permitted. When not telecommuting, must report/appear into/at Whittier Filtration office in Brea, CA. $136,968 to $136,968 per year.
