Additive is seeking a Member of Technical Staff - Backend to design, build, and maintain backend systems that support machine learning capabilities and enhance user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, particularly with ML workloads, and will work collaboratively in a fully in-person environment in downtown San Francisco.
Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in backend systems with meaningful ownership.
- Experience with machine learning concepts and integration into business applications.
- Proficient in Python and familiar with cloud providers like GCP/AWS.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of database and storage layers including Postgres, SQL, and Redis.
Responsibility
- Build core systems for machine learning capabilities in training and production.
- Drive technology and architectural choices for core services to enhance user experiences.
- Design and integrate ML inference, monitoring systems, and business logic into core systems.
- Develop database layers supporting business logic and data integration with external APIs.
- Collaborate on effective CI/CD systems to improve team efficiency.
- Engage with accountants to understand their needs for product development.
- Operate autonomously to deliver value while navigating technical and market constraints.
