Director, Strategic Partnerships, Americas at Airwallex responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships across the Americas to accelerate growth. Qualification

  • Proven track record in structuring and negotiating strategic partnerships and complex deals, preferably in fintech/payments and within the Americas.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across legal, product, engineering, sales, and marketing.
  • Strong relationship-building and executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience with product integrations, APIs, and co-development initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial, founder-like mindset with the ability to operate with ambiguity and drive results.
  • Data-driven with the ability to define success metrics, build business cases, and track impact.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and operate in a global, high-growth organization.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and scaling partnerships to drive revenue and strategic outcomes.

Responsibility

  • Lead the strategy and execution of Airwallex's strategic partnerships in the Americas, targeting fintechs, financial institutions, and corporate partners to drive revenue and market expansion.
  • Identify, evaluate, structure, negotiate, and close complex partnership deals with clear commercial terms and integration scope.
  • Own end-to-end deal lifecycle from initial outreach through signature, including coordinating with legal, product, engineering, operations, sales, and marketing.
  • Drive strategic product integrations and API-enabled collaborations, ensuring technical feasibility, timelines, and successful go-to-market.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with partners, acting as a trusted advisor and champion for partner value creation.
  • Develop and manage the partnership ecosystem pipeline, set targets, forecast revenue impact, and track performance against KPIs.
  • Lead cross-functional program management for joint initiatives, including governance models, SLAs, and risk/compliance considerations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to co-sell and co-market joint solutions, amplification of partner value, and joint go-to-market strategies.
  • Influence internal stakeholders to maximize leverage of partnerships for Airwallex's growth.
