Benesch is seeking an Aviation Designer for its Nebraska division to contribute to the aviation group through engineering models, analysis, and drafting coordination for civil airfield projects. The role offers hybrid work from Lincoln or Omaha and opportunities to grow within a multi-disciplinary planning and engineering firm; ideal for candidates with 2+ years of aviation design experience and an active EIT credential (recent grads encouraged).
Qualification
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- E.I.T. certification or desire to obtain professional engineering licensure (P.E.) in the future.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products.
- Minimum of 2 years of aviation design experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
- Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspections/tasks.

Responsibility
- Coordinate civil airfield design production with experienced aviation design staff.
- Prepare and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Perform basic analyses and design calculations for airfield projects.
- Develop thorough design details appropriate for each project.
- Apply design standards and codes correctly to ensure compliance.
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
- Take ownership of deliverables and project milestones.
- Coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients.
