Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design complex mechanical assemblies for manufacturing test systems. The role involves working with CAD tools, integrating designs into PDM systems, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance military capabilities through advanced technology.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with CAD design tools for mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of DFM/DFT principles and their application in product design.
- Experience with FEA tools for complex analysis.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills to determine root causes of product failures.
- Experience in generating test work instructions and training technicians.
Responsibility
- Design complex mechanical assemblies for PCBA and product level test systems.
- Create fixtures with tight tolerances and pneumatic/manually actuated assemblies.
- Collaborate with rapid fabrication teams or 3rd party suppliers to source equipment.
- Integrate designs into Anduril’s PDM systems following product design processes.
- Work with design teams to incorporate mechanical DFM/DFT requirements into products.
- Develop complex electromechanical systems in collaboration with software and electrical engineers.
- Generate test work instructions for technicians and provide training on equipment use.
- Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports to identify defects and areas for improvement.
