Qualification
- Proficiency with Nix, Nixpkgs, NixOS, and functional programming
- Deep understanding of build systems and packaging ecosystems
- Ability to analyze and improve large and complicated systems using Nix
- Experience with Rust, C++, Go, Python, or Haskell
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibility
- Maintain an internal package set for software distribution across the company
- Package open-source and proprietary software components using Nix
- Improve developer ergonomics by defining Nix usage standards and creating tooling support
- Integrate Nix with developer workflows
- Provide assistance, training, and mentorship to other team members
