They are seeking a Sr. Battery Systems Engineer to lead energy storage subsystem development, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and managing vendor relationships.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physical Sciences with a focus on energy storage technologies
- 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting energy storage systems
- Competence with battery test equipment
- Experience with battery management systems (BMS)
- Familiarity with ESS architecture and design concepts
Responsibility
- Drive end-to-end energy storage system (ESS) development on accelerated timelines
- Collaborate with program teams to define actionable ESS requirements from user story/CONOPs
- Execute and deliver ESS development artifacts including requirements, battery cell selection and validation
- Develop battery management system (BMS) requirements and design
- Create validation plans for cell, module, and pack levels, supporting testing and integration
- Sustain fielded ESSs through root cause analysis and data processing
