Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on enhancing military capabilities through advanced technology. They are seeking a Sr. Turbomachinery Engineer to join their Propulsion Development team, responsible for developing and optimizing propulsion systems, particularly air-breathing engines, and supporting flight testing.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in turbomachinery engineering.
- Knowledge of internal combustion engine fundamentals.
- Experience in creating and maintaining 3D models of compressor geometry.
- Exposure to engine testing or powertrain components.
- Expertise in aerodynamics and thermodynamics of turbomachinery.
- Professional experience with Siemens NX (Unigraphics) or other CAD software.
- U.S. Person status required for access to export controlled data.
Responsibility
- Own critical turbomachinery components and manage the design and analysis process.
- Assist in R&D for aircraft engines, engine components, and advanced combustion systems.
- Conduct aerodynamic and thermodynamic analysis for design evaluation.
- Ensure turbomachinery solutions meet manufacturing goals and cost/weight constraints.
- Lead projects from conception through testing and validation.
