Qualification
- Expertise in mechanical design and design for robustness and manufacturability.
- Experience in product development and metrology (GD&T).
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team management and accountability.
- Hands-on experience in building quality products and driving continuous improvement.
- Ability to engage in quality activities from concept through development and manufacturing to field use.
Responsibility
- Manage a team of product quality engineers and collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing engineering, production, and supplier quality teams.
- Lead technical design reviews, process development, verification, validation, and qualification of processes and parts.
- Resolve development ambiguities related to product maturity, process stability, and field performance to meet quality and reliability goals.
- Implement quality controls and assurance throughout production phases, developing metrics for first pass yield and scrap reduction.
- Champion the transition from new product introduction (NPI) to a sustainable high-rate manufacturing process and supply chain.
- Manage product design risk to ensure robustness and improve reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
