The Technical Operations Engineer role in the Maneuver Dominance team involves bridging product engineering and deployed operations for UAVs, ensuring mission success in challenging environments, and supporting vehicle autonomy development.
Qualification
- Extensive hands-on technical experience in field operations, manufacturing, or testing
- Prior military or defense contractor experience as a pilot/operator, network technician, or crew chief/maintainer
- Understanding of flight operations, aircraft systems, and sensors
- Ability to solve problems in unstructured situations involving hardware, software, and operations
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and external customers
- Experience performing data-driven root cause analysis on complex systems
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of computers and programming languages (e.g. Python)
Responsibility
- Serve as a bridge between product engineering and deployed operations for UAVs
- Ensure total mission success in austere, remote environments
- Stand up forward-deployed operations and ensure successful combat employment of products
- Shape long-term sustainment of products
- Support development of vehicle autonomy through test events and customer demonstrations
