Art of Problem Solving
The AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate Part-Time Language Arts Instructor to teach advanced students in a collaborative classroom environment. The role involves engaging students, managing small classes, providing feedback, and building relationships with students and families. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, strong content knowledge in language arts, and classroom experience, preferably at the K-12 level.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in education or a humanities field
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred
- Experience teaching or tutoring students
- Availability to teach during weekday after-school hours and/or on weekends
Responsibility
- Teach Engaging Curriculum using company-created materials for advanced students
- Actively involve students in each class or student-led learning
- Expertly manage up to 16 students in a classroom setting
- Provide feedback on tests and assignments to students
- Connect with students and families to make a lasting impact on their educational journey
- Encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts
