The AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate and engaging part-time Language Arts Instructor to teach advanced students in a collaborative classroom setting. The role involves utilizing a company-created curriculum, managing classroom dynamics, providing feedback, and inspiring a love for learning in language arts. The position requires availability during after-school hours and weekends at the Gaithersburg campus.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred
- Experience teaching or tutoring students
Responsibility
- Teach Engaging Curriculum using company-created materials for advanced students
- Actively involve students in each class or student-led learning
- Expertly manage up to 16 students in a classroom setting
- Provide feedback on tests and assignments to students
- Connect with students and families to impact their educational journey
- Encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts
