The company is seeking a Founding Applied AI Engineer to develop AI-powered systems that enhance travel and dining experiences for its high-profile members. The role involves working on innovative AI products within a small, collaborative team in San Francisco.
Qualification
- 5+ years of software development experience in modern environments (Python, Node.js, Go, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience deploying and scaling cloud-based applications (AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Deep experience with integrating large language models (LLMs) and building production AI systems.
- Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector search technologies.
- Solid understanding of database design, including Postgres, Redis, and vector databases.
Responsibility
- Design and implement AI recommendation and booking flows for hotels, dining, and flights.
- Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for dynamic hotel and travel searches.
- Create preference engines that learn from member interactions and evolve over time.
- Build lightweight AI orchestration layers integrated with tools like Zendesk and Slack.
- Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to ensure a seamless user experience.
