The company is seeking an RL Environment Research Engineer to develop and evaluate training environments, analyze agent behavior, and create benchmarks for AI agents. This role combines research and practical execution, requiring a deep understanding of agent dynamics and environment design.
Qualification
- Strong foundation in machine learning (PhD/MS in ML, CS, or equivalent experience)
- Deep curiosity about agent behavior and failure modes
- Ability to form hypotheses based on agent performance
- Experience with reinforcement learning and environment design
- Analytical skills to study and interpret agent rollout data
Responsibility
- Develop systematic strategies for creating high-quality RL environments
- Study agent failures across different task types to inform better environment design
- Create benchmark environments for testing specific agent capabilities
- Verify environment quality through hands-on testing and analysis
- Work with the environment creation pipeline to scale production of validated environments
- Analyze agent rollout data to uncover insights about environment effectiveness
- Collaborate with the team to integrate benchmarks into external dashboards
- Establish quality standards and evaluation protocols for environment production
