Blue Energy is seeking a Licensing Engineer to join their regulatory team, focusing on navigating the regulatory approval process for innovative nuclear power plant designs. The role involves supporting senior engineers, developing licensing documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to align regulatory requirements with engineering designs.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science (Physics, Chemistry, etc.) or Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Desire to learn NRC regulations, licensing processes, and safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibility

  • Support Senior Licensing Engineers in executing Blue Energy’s licensing strategy for nuclear project development.
  • Develop written licensing products, including detailed reports and responses to NRC inquiries, with increasing independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between regulatory requirements and engineering designs, site selection, and construction timelines.
  • Interface with the NRC and international regulatory bodies to address regulatory questions and manage information requests.
  • Participate in workshops, regulatory meetings, audits, and inspections to represent Blue Energy’s interests in licensing.
