Senior individual contributor with 5-8 years in energy strategy/commercial roles, responsible for shaping how clean baseload power is positioned and contracted.
Qualification
- 5-8 years of experience in strategic/commercial roles within the energy sector or strategy consulting
- Not an analyst—commercially minded with ability to think strategically and connect market insights to deal structures
- Experience origination and advancement of commercial opportunities with hyperscalers and large-load customers
- Proven ability to structure, evaluate, and negotiate long-term offtake agreements (PPAs, capacity structures, virtual products, thermal offerings, bespoke constructs)
- Strong experience conducting market analysis of U.S. power markets (RTO dynamics, load growth, data center energy strategies, decarbonization procurement, nuclear policy)
- Demonstrated ability to develop client-ready materials (narratives, pitch decks, proposals, term sheets) for senior decision-makers
- Proven cross-functional collaboration with product, finance, policy, and deployment teams to align strategy with technical and regulatory considerations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with customers and senior stakeholders
Responsibility
- Support origination and advancement of commercial opportunities with hyperscalers, data center operators, industrial customers, and select utilities
- Lead strategic analysis for hyperscaler/offtake models, designing and positioning new commercial structures that meet evolving customer needs
- Work directly with customers on strategic and commercial topics—translating requirements into contract structures, commercial value propositions, and data-driven recommendations
- Contribute to the structuring, evaluation, and negotiation of long-term offtake agreements (PPAs, capacity structures, virtual products, thermal offerings, or bespoke commercial constructs)
- Conduct targeted market analysis across U.S. power markets, including RTO dynamics, load growth, data center energy strategies, decarbonization procurement, and nuclear policy
- Develop high-quality commercial materials (customer narratives, pitch decks, proposals, term sheets, internal strategy outputs) tailored to senior decision-makers
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, finance, policy, deployment) to ensure commercial strategy aligns with technical and regulatory considerations
