The Mechanical II position involves working within a multi-disciplinary team under the guidance of a licensed engineer, focusing on HVAC system design for various projects including educational and healthcare facilities. The role requires proficiency in Revit/BIM modeling and energy modeling software, along with strong communication skills for client and team interactions.
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required.
- Experience with HVAC system design and energy modeling software.
- Proficiency in Revit/BIM for construction drawings.
- Strong communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to perform site visits and physical walk-throughs of construction sites.
- Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and under supervision for complex projects.
Responsibility
- Perform designs of ductwork, piping, and equipment selection for HVAC systems for building design.
- Calculate heating and cooling loads, layout, and design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software.
- Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings of HVAC systems from schematic design to construction administration phases.
- Edit specifications relating to existing or new projects.
- Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
- Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents.
- Interface effectively with clients and project team members during meetings.
- Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
