The Project Mechanical Engineer IV will be part of a multi-disciplinary team focusing on HVAC systems design for large-scale projects in various sectors including education, healthcare, and corporate environments. The role involves technical leadership, mentoring, and ensuring quality in mechanical designs, particularly in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Qualification
- Proven experience in HVAC system design for large-scale buildings.
- Strong knowledge of Revit/BIM modeling for mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently in all mechanical disciplines.
- Experience in mentoring and leading engineering teams.
- Familiarity with energy modeling software and QAQC processes.
- Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to conduct job site visits and participate in construction meetings.
- Understanding of project budgeting and value engineering.
Responsibility
- Perform and direct complex design of ductwork, piping, and equipment selection for HVAC systems.
- Oversee, guide, mentor, and provide technical leadership to designers and engineering team.
- Direct the work of less experienced staff and conduct performance reviews.
- Serve in the QAQC process and as an independent reviewer.
- Interface effectively with clients and design team members.
- Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of HVAC systems and assist with plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
- Review and accept shop drawings for compliance with specifications.
