Qualification
- 4+ years of experience designing web or data-heavy SaaS products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex workflows
- Proficiency in Figma for creating polished designs and prototypes
- Ability to learn molecular biology and AI/ML concepts
- Experience planning and conducting user research sessions
- Excellent communication skills for articulating design decisions
- Mindset focused on simplicity and minimalism in design
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Responsibility
- Own the end-to-end design process for web apps and dashboards
- Conduct user research, including interviews and usability tests
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and interactive prototypes
- Develop and maintain design systems for consistency and clarity
- Translate complex scientific concepts into user-friendly designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and scientists
- Document design guidelines and best practices
- Iterate quickly based on user feedback and testing
