Chai Discovery is seeking an operationally-minded scientist or biopharma project manager to oversee lab experimentation and data generation efforts. The role involves managing CRO and external research partners while collaborating with science and AI research teams to advance drug discovery using frontier AI models. Ideal candidates should have a strong scientific background, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing complex projects.
Qualification
- MS equivalent industry experience in Biological Sciences, Protein Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field; PhD is a bonus
- Experience working with CROs and complex networks of partners
- Familiarity with antibody design constructs, expression and purification campaigns, and binding and developability assays
- Literacy with computational tools like GraphPad Prism, Python, and R
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret and package data analysis
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt priorities quickly
- Experience in startups or intense environments
Responsibility
- Oversee lab experimentation and data generation efforts
- Manage CRO and external research partners
- Collaborate with science and AI research teams
- Set the vision and execute scaling of Chai’s lab-in-the-loop data engine
- Design and execute complex projects while managing multi-party relationships
- Communicate technical information effectively with internal and external audiences
- Inspect data, draw conclusions, and summarize key findings
