Chai Discovery is seeking a Software Engineer, Infrastructure to build and maintain resilient systems for AI-driven drug discovery. The role involves collaborating with product engineers and researchers to develop infrastructure that supports model inference and evaluation. Candidates should have extensive experience in production systems and a passion for impactful AI technology.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience building production systems with modern tooling.
- Experience with infrastructure observability, alerting, and incident response.
- Proven track record in 0-to-1 buildouts and 1-to-n scale-ups.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibility
- Build and maintain compute and infrastructure systems for AI model inference and evaluation.
- Collaborate with product engineers, researchers, and commercial teams to enhance product offerings.
- Ensure 24x7 infrastructure observability, alerting, and incident response.
- Participate in the end-to-end ownership of infrastructure projects from 0-to-1 buildouts to 1-to-n scale-ups.
- Communicate technical trade-offs to non-engineers and translate scientific requirements into engineering tasks.
