Cohere is seeking an experienced machine learning researcher/engineer to join their team as a Member of Technical Staff for Agents Modeling. The role focuses on developing advanced agentic LLM systems that enhance AI capabilities for enterprise applications. Qualification
- PhD in computer science or related field, or equivalent industry research experience
- Strong software engineering skills
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML-related libraries (e.g., PyTorch, NumPy)
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and agentic frameworks
- Experience with post-training LLMs (SFT, PEFT, or RL*)
- Experience in building synthetic data generation pipelines
Responsibility
- Design and develop novel agentic solutions
- Improve upon state-of-the-art (SOTA) on challenging agentic tasks
- Research next-generation online learning-from-experience self-improvement
- Collaborate with partner teams to enhance performance of agentic systems
- Work with a team of researchers and engineers to push the boundaries of AI capabilities
