They are seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their in-house legal team, focusing on structuring and negotiating complex agreements related to banking products and services. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in legal processes.
Qualification
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience in commercial contracts, particularly in the financial services or fintech sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience leading complex negotiations.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in the banking and financial services industry.
Responsibility
- Own complex agreements end-to-end, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating customer, vendor, and third-party agreements.
- Build and manage legal playbooks and templates for contracts, terms of services, and disclosures.
- Lead negotiations with fintechs and enterprise customers, balancing commercial and regulatory priorities.
- Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales and Business teams to align on goals and risk tolerance.
- Expand into additional banking products and services as needed.
