Qualification
- Experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining backend distributed systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or C++.
- Experience with containers/Docker and cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with open source technologies like Kafka, Elasticsearch, or Istio.
- BS+ in computer science or a related field.
Responsibility
- Architect and build core infrastructure and foundational functionalities such as distributed key value store and schema-less data store.
- Work closely with machine learning, search, product, data, and frontend teams to understand infrastructure needs and influence the infrastructure roadmap.
- Improve observability and reliability of systems by enhancing distributed logging, tracing, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure.
- Define methodologies and metrics to measure performance of microservices and identify bottlenecks.
- Deliver deadline-sensitive work that is interdependent with other engineering teams.
