Continua is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to enhance the quality of their AI agent platform. This hybrid role in New York involves designing backend services, integrating ML models, and collaborating across teams to deliver user-focused applications. The company is backed by Google and Bessemer Venture Partners and is focused on developing socially-intelligent AI technologies.
Qualification
- 4+ years of infra/backend engineering experience.
- Good understanding of database technologies like SQL and Postgres.
- Strong intuition for product balancing user needs with technical constraints.
- Comfortable working across the stack from frontend to backend systems.
- Familiarity with cloud architecture and deploying to cloud, particularly GCP or Terraform.
- Able to work independently and handle ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibility
- Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs using Python and Go.
- Partner with ML engineers to integrate large language models into production systems.
- Own feature development from ideation to launch, including gathering requirements and testing.
- Improve system reliability and scalability by enhancing testing and refining infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product goals into technical solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and production maintenance.
