Nox Group is seeking a Safety Technician to join their HSE team. The role involves supporting health, safety, and environmental initiatives in the construction industry, particularly in data centers and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have relevant education and experience in construction, along with a strong commitment to safety and well-being.
Qualification
- Understanding of basic construction work practices.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with craft and supervisory employees.
- High level of integrity in reporting incidents and upholding company policy.
- Ability to complete basic safety-related tasks with minimal direction.
- Ability to understand HSE plans and standards.
Responsibility
- Support the project’s HSE initiatives and programs.
- Conduct jobsite inspections to identify and document safe and unsafe work practices or conditions.
- Participate in incident investigation and causal analysis processes.
- Assist in planning, recognition, evaluation, and mediation of risk through the PTP process.
- Build knowledge of applicable legislative, client, and Nox policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with personnel, trade partners, visitors, and vendors.
- Provide first aid as necessary within training limits.
- Support the needs of the Project HSE Department.
- Engage in site and crew meetings.
- Spend 90% of time in the field supporting operations.
