CoreWeave is seeking an HPC Performance Engineer to join their HAVOCK Team, focusing on the design, development, and optimization of bare-metal systems and low-level software stacks. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and maintaining a custom Linux kernel and virtualization stack.
Qualification
- Strong experience with Python, Go, bash/sh, and C programming languages.
- Proficiency in managing and optimizing Linux Kernel and Ubuntu OS.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as kubevirt, qemu, and vfio.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like containerd, nydus, and kubelet.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and provide actionable insights.
Responsibility
- Design and optimize bare-metal systems from POST to Kubernetes cluster integration.
- Maintain a custom Linux kernel and various OS images (Ubuntu-based).
- Manage the virtualization stack (kubevirt/qemu/vfio) and container/pod runtime stack (containerd/nydus/kubelet).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure software stack performance.
- Provide data, metrics, dashboards, and analysis to support performance assertions.
