The role involves building backend connectivity services for their data and AI platform, focusing on scalability and efficient use of cloud resources. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in networking and large-scale distributed systems, and will work closely with cross-functional teams.
Qualification
- 8+ years of production level experience in Python, Java, Scala, C++, or similar languages.
- 4+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Extensive experience in the Networking domain.
- Hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibility
- Build new backend connectivity services for Databricks' data and AI platform.
- Lead the design and development of services connecting the control plane and compute plane.
- Ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and efficient networking systems.
- Collaborate with product management, operations, and engineering teams.
- Solve challenges related to multi-cloud and distributed systems.
