Databricks is seeking a Staff Engineer for the User Activation team to drive the technical vision and architecture for product experiences that enhance customer adoption and growth. The role involves leading a team of engineers to create seamless onboarding flows and intuitive workspace experiences, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and innovation.
Qualification
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of technical leadership and impact.
- 5+ years of engineering management experience, including managing managers.
- Expertise in Front End or Full Stack development.
- Experience designing and building scalable SaaS platforms, onboarding flows, or customer growth-focused product experiences.
- Expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern web application architecture.
Responsibility
- Define and drive the strategy for customer onboarding, workspace experience, account management, and other horizontal product experiences.
- Partner closely with product management, design, and other engineering teams to build intuitive, scalable, and extensible solutions that drive product-led growth.
- Lead architectural decisions to ensure performance, reliability, and simplicity across core user flows.
- Hands-on full-stack software development to create dynamic, user-centric experiences.
- Drive best practices for engineering excellence, including design reviews, code quality, testing strategies, and performance optimizations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams developing vertical product experiences and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and innovation.
