The Manager of Networking at Datadog is responsible for leading the global management of network services across all offices, ensuring high-performance Wi-Fi and internet access. This hybrid role requires collaboration with various teams and focuses on scaling network infrastructure to support the company's rapid growth.
Qualification
- At least 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams of network engineers.
- Proven expertise in Wi-Fi network engineering, particularly with Cisco Meraki and edge networking solutions.
- Experience managing large-scale office technology projects in global enterprises with over 10 offices and 7,000+ employees.
- Strong vendor management skills, including selecting and overseeing third-party providers.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: A degree in Computer Science or related field, along with networking certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
Responsibility
- Lead the global network engineering teams, managing full-time employees and third-party vendors.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and scaling of office network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi and edge networking devices.
- Define and implement standards, policies, and processes for network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT Security, Enterprise Technology, and Workplace teams to align network services with business objectives.
- Develop and track operational metrics for service availability and network performance.
