Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8+ years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience
- 5+ years hands-on administration of Windows OS environments
- 5+ years hands-on administration of VMware environments
- 5+ years hands-on administration with RHEL or other Linux environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with system configuration automation (Scripting with Perl/Python/Bash or DevOps tools like Chef/Puppet)
- AWS experience in designing, provisioning, monitoring and managing the environment
Responsibility
- Full understanding of virtual servers and operating systems, block, file, and object storage, and data protection
- Install and configure high availability compute solutions supporting business critical functions
- Design computer system configurations in a team environment
- Develop solutions for automation and reporting using multiple scripting languages
- Document procedures for applying operating systems patches, code, and firmware updates
- Participate in design meetings for client disaster recovery planning
- Implement storage and data protection configurations
- Research system vulnerabilities and document corrective actions
- Monitor and tune systems to identify and eliminate issues and potential bottlenecks
- Design and implement advanced network configurations within the virtual server configuration
