The Registered Dietitian role involves working remotely to support families in nutritional restoration for children with eating disorders, collaborating with a dedicated care team to implement individualized treatment plans.
Qualification
- Registered Dietitian credential required.
- Experience in eating disorder treatment preferred.
- Strong communication skills for telehealth interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of evidence-based nutrition practices and meal planning.
Responsibility
- Assist patients and families in transforming maladaptive eating patterns into a healthy relationship with food.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs through telehealth meetings.
- Guide the process of exposure to fear/challenge foods.
- Communicate meal plans and nutrition-related concerns clearly to the treatment team.
- Echo treatment team directives in family interactions to present a united front.
- Assist with discharge planning and update treatment plans weekly based on patient progress.
