Five9 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize their OpenStack and Kubernetes environments. This role focuses on ensuring scalable, secure, and observable infrastructure for mission-critical workloads, while fostering a team-first culture that values diversity and innovation.
Qualification
- Experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes (Rancher RKE2/K3s)
- Proficiency in GitOps practices and tools (Fleet, Argo CD, Terraform, Helm)
- Strong understanding of multi-tenant architecture and lifecycle management
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (RBAC, network policies)
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/EFK)
- Ability to work in a team-oriented culture that values diversity and inclusion
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Responsibility
- Designing, automating, and operating multi-tenant OpenStack clusters across various components (Nova, Neutron, Octavia, Manila, Cinder, Ironic, Glance)
- Maintaining Kubernetes clusters using Rancher RKE2/K3s with GitOps-driven automation (Fleet, Argo CD, Terraform, Helm)
- Ensuring performance, tenant isolation, and lifecycle automation for OpenStack environments
- Implementing security measures such as RBAC and network policies in Kubernetes
- Enabling interoperability between platforms and shared observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/EFK)
- Bridging OpenStack and Kubernetes ecosystems to provide hybrid flexibility
- Defining automation, performance, security, and observability standards for both platforms
