Electrical Engineer (Shenzhen)

Formlabs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Shenzhen, focusing on the design and development of professional 3D printers. The role involves leading electronics design, prototyping, and ensuring the reliability of designs while working with both analog and digital systems.
Qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience designing and debugging electronics
- Comfortable with analog and digital design, PCB layout, validation, and debugging techniques
- Basic familiarity with embedded systems (microcontroller firmware in C/C++, embedded Linux)
- Familiarity with consumer electronics standards and certifications
- Experience in the consumer electronics industry
- Working knowledge of English for documentation and technical presentations
Responsibility
- Lead the electronics design of 3D printing and related products
- Full-stack design from concept to prototype and mass production
- Make EE architecture decisions considering cost, reliability, and flexibility
- Perform necessary engineering calculations and experiments
- Design for wired and wireless connectivity options such as Wifi, Bluetooth, Ethernet
- Design involving physical sensors and actuators
- Write basic code to test the functionality of designs
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, validating, debugging, and reworking boards
