Glovo is seeking a Platform Engineer for its Infrastructure Runtime team to enhance engineering velocity, system reliability, and platform resilience. The role involves leading initiatives, mentoring engineers, and shaping strategies around Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD. The company operates a multi-category app connecting users with local businesses and couriers across 1500 cities in 22 countries.
Qualification
- 2+ years of relevant infrastructure experience, ideally in a platform team.
- Experience with Kubernetes internals and cloud-native architecture (EKS preferred).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform.
- Experience in building automation scripts using Go and Python.
Responsibility
- Support technical projects evolving the Kubernetes-based compute platform on AWS focusing on reliability and scalability.
- Iterate on GitOps workflows using Argo CD and Argo Rollouts for automated deployments.
- Maintain CI/CD best practices by building scalable GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Work with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for secure, multi-tenant infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues in distributed systems, service discovery, and container orchestration.
- Take ownership of compute and networking infrastructure for performance and availability.
- Build and maintain internal tooling and automation scripts using Go and Python.
- Collaborate with engineers to propagate best practices and platform knowledge.
