Staff iOS Engineer (They/She/He)

Glovo is seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to lead initiatives and mentor other engineers within their iOS domain. The role involves collaborating with product, design, and data teams to address user problems and make technical decisions. The engineer will participate in the entire feature delivery process and help evolve the app to meet the latest Apple standards.
Qualification
- Proven experience in iOS development with a strong understanding of Swift and Objective-C.
- Experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and familiarity with SwiftUI and Combine.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, design, and data.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and A/B testing methodologies.
Responsibility
- Take part in every stage of the feature delivery process—discovery, design, implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.
- Help update the app to the latest Apple standards: evolve from MVVM+C, UIKit, and ReactiveKit to SwiftUI, Combine, and async/await, choosing the right approach per use case.
- Contribute to design and UX decisions, quality assurance through automated UI and unit testing, and A/B testing.
- Simplify systems, reduce operational overhead, and improve developer experience as the business grows.
- Deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that are efficient, observable, and cost-effective.
