Hadrian Automation
Hadrian is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Factory Automation division to design, develop, and commission automated robotic cells for high-precision, scalable manufacturing in aerospace/defense. The role partners with hardware, software, and robotics engineers to bring production systems from concept to operation, contribute to scaling Hadrian's machining footprint across multiple US factories, and support a Factory-as-a-Service model.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics or related discipline.
- Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Experience designing and commissioning end-of-arm tooling and fixturing for industrial robotic applications.
- Experience designing and commissioning layouts and floor plans for robotic cells.
- Experience with material selection, finite element analysis, and payload analysis for heavy (500 kg) robotic applications.
- Strong skills in integrating sensors and pneumatic and mechanical components.
- Strong skills performing risk assessments in accordance with safety standards such as ISO 13849 or ANSI B11.
Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical design for advanced automated manufacturing robotic cells, including end effector design, fixturing, and cell layouts.
- Install, commission, and debug automation systems on the production floor; diagnose and resolve mechanical/hardware issues.
- Develop standards, documentation, and procedures to enable scalable automation deployment.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and robotics engineers to translate concepts into operational production systems.
- Contribute to the Machining roadmap to scale Hadrian to multi-factory operations across the US.
- Design and optimize end-of-arm tooling and fixturing, and plan layouts for robotic cells.
