Illumio is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their engineering team in Sunnyvale, California. The role focuses on developing innovative solutions for Zero Trust Segmentation in cybersecurity, particularly within container ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable software systems and a strong understanding of Kubernetes and related technologies.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in building distributed and scalable software systems.
- Proficient in at least one higher-level programming language (Go, Python, Java, etc.).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and related technologies.
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, networking concepts, and debugging skills.
Responsibility
- Build a new way to orchestrate Zero Trust Segmentation at the application/pod level.
- Enhance modern container platforms such as Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, GKE.
- Design critical features and subsystems, defending designs before peers.
- Deliver scalable, stable, secure, and supportable implementations.
- Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns to foster their growth.
