JUMO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their software engineering team, responsible for building a market-leading banking as a service platform. The engineer will solve complex technical problems and improve engineering practices while delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
Qualification
- A Computer Science degree.
- Experience with Kotlin / Java / Scala, and cloud-based infrastructure, ideally AWS.
- Experience designing, developing, and testing software.
- Extensive hands-on experience with high-volume/low-latency services.
- Python experience is a plus.
Responsibility
- Deliver across the SDLC to build a highly scalable distributed system.
- Assist in defining the team's roadmap in line with the company and technology vision.
- Architect services and systems using well accepted design patterns for iterative development.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and support products and services.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback.
- Guide the team to write production-ready code that is easily testable and understandable.
- Anticipate and communicate blockers, delays, and cost issues within projects.
- Contribute to documentation and drive best practices in engineering.
