Jump Trading Group seeks a Data Center Engineer to join their Production Infrastructure team, responsible for managing and optimizing data center infrastructure to support their global low latency trading environment. The role involves project ownership and working with advanced technologies in server, network, and storage systems.
Qualification
- Strong background in data center management and infrastructure.
- Experience with power, cooling, and hardware systems in data centers.
- Ability to manage and coordinate with onsite technicians and service providers.
- Familiarity with high-density cabinets and liquid cooling technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibility
- Remotely manage data center infrastructure (power, cooling, hardware, cabling, tools/supplies, etc.) to provide maximum availability of services.
- Perform requirements gathering and planning for new hardware installs (i.e. physical location, power and cooling requirements, cabling, etc.).
- Oversee Datacenter Managed Services providers, including management of onsite technicians.
- Develop and maintain data center standards and other documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to innovate and improve infrastructure processes.
