Director, Technical Talent Acquisition at Klaviyo responsible for shaping and leading the technical recruiting strategy across Engineering, Product, and Data. You'll partner with senior technical leaders, build and scale a high-performing recruiting team, drive global hiring programs (with a focus on EMEA), and ensure an exceptional candidate experience while advancing equity and inclusion.
Qualification
- Proven experience leading technical recruitment at scale, ideally in a director-level role.
- Strong ability to partner with senior technical leaders (CTO, VPs of Engineering, Product, and Data) to translate business needs into hiring plans.
- Experience designing and optimizing recruiting processes, including sourcing, assessment, and candidate experience.
- Expertise in technical sourcing across platforms and communities (GitHub, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other technical networks) with the ability to tailor approaches for diverse talent pools.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in hiring, with data-driven measurement of impact.
- Experience implementing global hiring strategies and collaborating with regional partners (e.g., EMEA) to maintain consistency and adaptability.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on transparency in candidate interactions and feedback loops.
- Leadership and people-management capabilities, including mentoring recruiters and scaling a recruiting team as the company grows.
Responsibility
- Lead and inspire a technical recruiting team by setting clear productivity metrics, goals, and efficiencies.
- Partner directly with senior technical executives (CTO, VPs of Engineering, Product, and Data) to understand hiring needs and build scalable talent strategies.
- Design and optimize technical recruiting processes from sourcing through assessment, ensuring world-class candidate experiences and effective engineering evaluations.
- Innovate in technical sourcing by developing creative strategies across platforms like GitHub, Covey, JuiceboxAI, LinkedIn Recruiter, and technical communities, while tailoring approaches to diverse technical talent pools.
- Champion equity, diversity, and inclusion in technical hiring by building programs that expand access and opportunity, and using data to track and measure impact.
- Implement progressive global hiring strategies, collaborating with EMEA TA partners to build a consistent yet adaptable technical recruiting approach.
- Elevate candidate experience by ensuring communication, feedback, and technical assessments are transparent, engaging, and rigorous.
- Scale the TA function by hiring, mentoring, and developing recruiters; establish performance metrics and optimize workflows for rapid growth.
