Qualification
- Native Japanese speaker with strong command of English
- Previous transcription experience preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent listening skills and ability to accurately capture spoken content
- High attention to detail and ability to produce precise, polished transcripts
- Comfortable working with audio of varying quality and speakers
- Ability to follow detailed guidelines consistently and deliver consistent results
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a remote setting
- Good time-management skills and access to a quiet workspace with reliable internet
Responsibility
- Listen to Japanese audio recordings and convert spoken content into accurate transcripts according to project requirements
- Follow detailed transcription guidelines for formatting, punctuation, speaker labels, and timestamps if required
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring correct handling of names, terminology, and brand voice
- Handle audio of varying quality and multiple speakers, adapting to different accents and recording conditions
- Deliver polished transcripts within deadlines and manage workload in a remote setting
- Review and revise transcripts to address errors, ambiguities, or follow-up clarifications from the project team
- Proactively communicate with the project team for guidance and updates, and seek clarification when guidelines are unclear
