LILT is seeking experienced bilingual dentists (or advanced dentistry students) to review translated dental content for clinical accuracy, correct terminology, and clarity. This remote, freelance contractor role bridges dental science and AI-assisted translation, ensuring high-quality localization across Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Implantology, Orthodontics, and Advanced Dental Technology. Active Tipalti payment setup is required for contractors.
Qualification
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or current enrollment as an advanced student (3rd year or higher) in an accredited dentistry program.
- Bilingual proficiency: native or near-native fluency in English and your mother tongue; clearly state your mother tongue.
- Proven ability to review and correct specialized medical or technical content; experience in writing, editing, or translation of dental-related materials is a significant advantage.
- Domain expertise in Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Implantology/Dental Implants, Orthodontics and Aligners; experience in other dental specialties (e.g., periodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery) should be stated on the application.
- Ability to accurately handle dental terminology across domains with strong attention to detail.
- Remote, freelance contractor availability; active Tipalti account or the ability to set one up for payments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with translators, editors, and QA teams.
Responsibility
- Review translated dental content for clinical accuracy, correct terminology, and clarity.
- Validate terminology against current dental standards across Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Implantology, Orthodontics, and Advanced Dental Technology.
- Edit and rewrite content as needed, providing constructive feedback to translators and AI-assisted workflows.
- Maintain consistency with brand voice, medical accuracy, and patient safety considerations.
- Document preferred terminology and contribute to a dental translation style guide.
- Collaborate with global, remote teams to meet project deadlines and quality targets.
- Identify and flag potential safety, regulatory, or ethical issues in translated content.
